Bukola Obi BSc, MSc, BSW,  RSW

Bukola Obi is a Social Worker with a diverse professional background and a passion for supporting individuals, families, and older adults. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Lagos, followed by a master’s degree in advertising and marketing from the University of Hull. Before transitioning into social work, Bukola spent several years working in tax administration in Lagos, Nigeria.

Inspired by a lifelong passion for helping others and serving her community, she pursued a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Manitoba in 2020. She has gained clinical experience in adult medicine, where she developed a strong interest in supporting older adults through compassionate, person-centered care. Bukola is preparing to begin her Master of Social Work (MSW) as she continues to grow professionally and expand her impact in the field.

As a founding member of Black Social Workers in Manitoba, Bukola is committed to advocacy, community empowerment, and culturally responsive practice. She has also been actively involved in volunteer service through her local church since her teenage years, particularly in children’s ministry and other community initiatives. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and giving back to her community.
